We climbed Cyanide Mountain from the Wood Lake campground west of Augusta.  We hopped across the campground fence and climbed the steep slope that is immediately to the south of the campground.  After ascending the first 100-feet or so, the slope becomes much more gradual.  Follow this ridge as it curves to the left (east) and ascends to the summit.  The summit has nice views of the Rocky Mountain front and the plains.  Cyanide Mountain can be combined with W7M/CL-072, which is a bit further north.  Take care descending the oversized scree covered summit cone of Cyanide Mountain and stay to the right (east) of the high cliff band.  There is a lower cliff band that is best skirted on the left (west) side before reaching the saddle and continuing along the pleasant ridge walk to W7M/CL-072.
