Prospect Hill is a privately-owned Christmas tree farm with about eight repeater and telecom sites on the ridge overlooking Independence, Oregon. We were able to secure one-time permission for access to this site as it was convenient to a visit with friends near Salem.
Access required working with the neighbor on where to park, climbing a gate, and identifying and securing permission from the property owner. Activating in a muddy field of Christmas trees is not the most pleasant way to practice SOTA-craft, and since there are many other one point summits that are easier to access, Prospect Hill is not recommended.
